He is a graduate of Leadership Walker County and appreciates the connections and opportunities provided by being an active member of the Chamber. Ashley lives in Chickamauga with his wife, Mitzi, and their children, Charlie and Spencer. Cindy Scoggins Past Chair The Bank of LaFayette A lifelong resident of Walker County, Cindy and her husband Stan were small business owners in Walker County for over 25 years. Cindy has been employed with The Bank of LaFayette for 19 years. Cindy has served the Walker Chamber of Commerce for over 14 years Laura Beth Newsom Vice Chair Walker Family Connection Laura Beth Newsom is the Coordinator for Walker County Family Connection, She has served in this role since July 2019 and works to collaborate resources throughout the county. Laura Beth is a Walker County native and resides in the county with her husband, TJ, and their two sons, Matthew and Micah. They are members of Peavine Baptist Church in Rock Spring. . She and her family enjoy travel and spending time outdoors, especially in Walker County. Elijah Parker Chair-Elect Peach State Federal Credit Union Bio Marcy Kernea Treasurer Ringgold Telephone Company Bio Luther Ingram Secretary Roper Luther Ingram is the President & Exec. Director of Roper Corporation – a wholly-owned subsidiary of GE Appliances, a Haier company . He is responsible for the manufacturing of some of America’s best cooking products (Freestanding Ranges, Wall Ovens, Electric and Gas Cooktops) in Lafayette, GA, while creating a positive impact on the Georgia economy. Prior to his current role, he led GE Appliance Dishwasher manufacturing operation through transition and growth. As well as the largest injection molding operation in the state of Kentucky (GE Appliance Injection Molding Center of Excellence based in Louisville, KY). In these roles, he led his team to increase throughput by implementing flexible shifts while meeting the growing customer demands. General Board Rob Looney General Board Rob Looney, a lifelong resident of Walker County, has worked at Edward Jones for the last decade. He is excited to serve on the Chamber, supporting initiatives that make the county an engaging place to start and grow a business while also making a difference in the local community. Meagan Jolly General Board Meagan Jolley is the senior manager of public relations and social media for See Rock City Inc. She has worked there for over 16 years and has served on this Board since 2017. She is very active in community organizations, including other area Boards, as well as various roles in her church. She holds a bachelor's degree in communication from Lee University, with an emphasis in public relations and minors in religion and music. Not being from the county, one of the most beneficial highlights for her has been participating in Leadership Walker in 2015, where she was able to experience so many “hidden gems” in the area. Jack Sells General Board Jack Sells, CTC, EA is the founder and Certified Tax Coach of Arrow Exchange Tax Solutions specializing in tax-focused consultation and planning. As a tax practitioner, Jack has helped individuals, families, businesses, and non profit organizations navigate the complex US Tax Code. His years of experience and on-going tax education enable him to solve the most complex tax issues and disputes. In his spare time, Jack enjoys hiking, golfing, and taking in all the spectacular views Walker county has to offer. Evitte Parrish General Board Evitte Parrish was born and raised in Walker County. He and his family live in Chickamauga. His children attend his Alma Mater, Gordon Lee High School. He has served on the Chickamauga City Council since 2010 and currently serves on the Walker County Development Authority. He is an active member of Elizabeth Lee Methodist Church, and he is a member of the Fort Oglethorpe Kiwanis Club. Professionally, he had a sixteen-year career in banking and left banking to focus on his real estate investing business, focusing primarily on commercial and residential properties in Walker and Catoosa County. Rob Stiles General Board I am a long-term resident of Walker County, Georgia. I am a graduate of The McCallie School and The University of Georgia. I have been serving as a Walker Chamber of Commerce Board Member for several years. I also serve as a board member of The Rossville Library and The Cherokee Regional Library Board. And I am a recent graduate of the 2023 Class of Leadership Walker County Chamber of Commerce. I am glad to support local businesses and live, play, and work in Walker County with my family and friends. Justin Carruth General Board Justin Carruth is a lifelong resident of Walker County, GA. He was born and raised in Flintstone, GA, and currently resides in Chickamauga, GA. Justin is the husband to Carly and father to Addi Kate and Cohen. Justin is employed by Walker County Schools and is currently the Coordinator of Secondary Instruction and CTAE. Justin is also an active member of Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church, where he serves the kids ministry, youth ministry, and as a Deacon. Justin has a passion for the people of Walker County, and considers it a privilege to be able to serve the students of Walker County on a daily basis. Justin shares, “I am humbled to be able to work with the Chamber of Commerce to help bring the people and businesses of Walker County together.” Justin looks forward to being part of the Chamber and Walker County for years to come.
