Walker Chamber Welcomes New Leadership and Gratitude for Dedicated Service

Rock Spring, GA — The Walker County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to its Executive Board, marking a significant moment in its continuous journey toward enhancing the local business community.

Ashley Mew steps into the role of Chair, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to the Chamber. Joining Ashley in leadership is Vice Chair Elijah Parker, whose extensive background in the banking industry and commitment to the community promise to bring valuable insights and growth to the Chamber.

Ashley Mew, the new Chair, is currently the Senior Pastor at Gordon Lake Wesleyan Church in LaFayette and is marking his fifth year on the Walker County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. With two years on the Executive Board, Ashley's leadership comes at a time when the Chamber is increasingly focused on deepening connections within the business community and fostering growth. Residing in Chickamauga with his family, Ashley's dedication to the community is evident in his active involvement and appreciation for the opportunities the Chamber provides.

 

Elijah Parker
Elijah Parker

Elijah Parker takes on the role of Vice Chair with a strong background as a Regional Business Executive at Peach State Federal Credit Union. With over five years of experience in the banking sector, Elijah's expertise in commercial and consumer lending, investment properties, short sales, and insurance is poised to bring a new dimension to the Chamber's initiatives. His academic foundation in Business Administration from Bryan College complements his professional achievements, making him a pivotal addition to the leadership team.

 

The Walker County Chamber of Commerce also extends its deepest gratitude to Cindy Scoggins for her many years of service on the board. Cindy's contributions have been instrumental in shaping the Chamber's success, and her legacy of dedication will continue to inspire the Chamber's work.

 

As we look ahead to 2024, the Chamber is excited about the innovative leadership and fresh perspectives that Ashley Mew and Elijah Parker will bring.
