Leadership Walker County

25 Items Remaining

This program, facilitated by the Chamber, is a collaborative effort between Chamber staff & volunteers, community leaders and chamber members.  The program provides participants the opportunity to learn and strengthen the skills & knowledge necessary to be a leader in the community.  Participants are given an overview of city and county operations, tours of attractions and manufacturers, along with a first-hand look at the judicial system, education systems, and social services.

The program takes place annually from September until May; beginning with an outdoor bonding retreat and ending with a graduation ceremony.  Members must receive approval from their direct supervisor before an application will be considered.  Tuition for the program is $350 for Chamber Members and $400 for non-Chamber Members, and scholarships are also available.  All fees must be paid in full (before the beginning of the program) by the participant, the participant’s employer or a combination of the two.

Are you ready to gain a broader understanding of the complexities facing our community?  Are you prepared to use the information and skills you will gain from this experience to be a leader in the community?  If so, please carefully read the contents of this packet and submit the required documents to be considered.

This opportunity is limited to 24 participants, so if you’re interested, we encourage you to submit your application today.

For more information on the program please contact Katelyn Gates at  [email protected].
