Zahnd WMA
An off-the-beaten-path spot to climb
Zahnd WMA is a great bouldering area (and usually less crowded than Rocktown) you can find along Lookout Mountain.
Climb To New Heights
This 1,642-acre Wildlife Management Area is located in the Ridge and Valley ecoregion of Northwest Georgia in Walker County sharing a boundary with Crockford-Pigeon Mountain WMA.
A short 5 minute walk from the parking pull off puts you in a small warmup area and the start of the small cliff-line.
Zahnd WMA is characterized by grey rock with unique features and texture. A good portion of the crag has conglomerate pebble, so it is not as friendly as Horse Pens or Rocktown, but is still worthy of a visit. Zahnd is home to several classic lines such as The Wave, Razors Edge and Harvest Moon.
