The Lula Lake Land Trust was established by the will of Robert M. Davenport in January 1994 to protect the natural beauty and abundant resources within the Rock Creek watershed and preserve it for present and future generations. Davenport acquired more than 1,200 acres around Lula Lake and, since then, the Land Trust has increased protection to more than 4,000 acres.
